Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania, and meet your trekking team. Attend a pre-climb briefing, undergo equipment checks, and enjoy a relaxing evening in preparation for the adventure ahead.
Drive to Marangu Gate and embark on the trek through the lush rainforest. Reach Mandara Hut, the first hut on the route, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest.
Ascend through the rainforest and into the heath and moorland zone. Pass by Maundi Crater, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Arrive at Horombo Hut for an overnight stay.
Spend a day at Horombo Hut for acclimatization. Optionally, take a day hike to Zebra Rocks for additional acclimatization and panoramic views.
Continue the ascent to the alpine desert zone, crossing the “Saddle” that lies between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Arrive at Kibo Hut, the final hut before the summit push.
Begin the summit attempt in the early hours, ascending the steep scree slopes. Reach Gilman’s Point and continue to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. Descend to Horombo Hut for an overnight stay.
Descend through the heath and rainforest zones to Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates. Celebrate your accomplishment with the trekking team and transfer to Moshi for a comfortable night’s rest.
